Book description for Date Me (Keatyn Chronicles, #3):

I’m not scripting my life anymore.
I’m living it.
I’m done with the God of all Hotties.
I’m going to give my heart to the boy who I think deserves it.
The boy whose kisses are hotter than molten lava.
The boy who offered me the key to his heart.
The boy who asked me to Homecoming in a big, sexy way.

There are so many things to look forward to.
Parties at the Cave. Homecoming festivities. Drama Tryouts. Shopping trips to NY.
But things aren’t always as perfect as they seem.
I find out that my best friend has been keeping a secret from me.
Not that I can blame him.
I have secrets too.
But, for now, I’m going to pretend I’m just a normal girl.
I’m going to pretend he’s not still out there.
I’m going to pretend he’s not getting desperate.
I’m going to pretend I’ll never see him again.
But, I will.
And this time, I might not get away.

Heather's Review:

I started The first Keatyn Chronicle on a whim shortly after I started blogging. It was 100% different than my usual genre, I needed a bit of bubblegum. Keatyn was just what I needed. The third installment was given to me as an arc for this tour. Please let me tell you, the author wanting me to read her story is such an honor each and every time  especially in this case. The Stalk Me series was definitely a risk to write, and Jillian took a chance. Keatyn is a teenager dealing with very adult situations. There is sex, drugs, underage-drinking, and definite f-bombs. It is classified as a Mature YA, I see it as adult, but based in high school. Jillian Dodd- I applaud you for this series. Thank you.

Keatyn is ready to get serious, about life, love, friendship. She ready to tackle the world. The popular girl is finally accepting her, she has a real group of friends, girl and boy, and is finally feeling happiness. Her stalker issues are played down, this Chronicle is about Keatyn and her new life at boarding school.
She has the popular boyfriend, the Hottie God vying for her heart, plus multiple others guys after a piece of Keatie's heart. But you know things can only stay uncomplicated for so long. ;)

Everything about these books make me happy. I count down the days to release. I stalk the FB group for teasers. I am ready to find out who Moon Boy (dream boy) will be! I always give my team at the end, so here we go. Don't be mad! Team Damian and Team Aiden!

Book Description for Kiss Me (Keatyn Chronicles, #2):

I’ve always written scripts for my perfect life.
But no way could I have ever scripted this.
My life is so far from perfect, it’s not even funny.
All because of a stalker.

I’m at a boarding school, where I have to lie about who I am.
I can’t see my family.
I’m tutoring a hottie god that tortures me with his smile.
The most popular girl already hates me.
But there’s this boy.
This hot, sweet, sexy boy.
So I’m going to stop trying to script my life and just live it.
Because who knows how long I have left.

Blurb:
November Harris is lost. After a failed romance with musician Bo Cavanaugh, Ember is left struggling to regain her true self. The problem is, Bo won’t go away and Ember's stance is firm—she doesn't want him back.

Adrian Turner, Ember's ex-boyfriend-turned confidant, is patient with her heartbreak, but he can't hold back his own feelings forever.

As she sorts through her past, in an effort to plan a solid future, Ember will find that sometimes even the best laid plans bow to the soul's desire for reckless abandon.

Excerpt:
When the doors ding closed behind us, I slam Adrian into the side of the elevator by my mouth. “Never do that to me in public again,” I curse in the short time my tongue leaves his mouth.
I feel his grin against my lips. “Don’t worry, baby. Anything else I plan on doing to you has to be done in private.”
We tear blindly through his door in a hurricane of need five years in the making. I glide backward with each step he takes forward, until my hips are backed up against the kitchen island. With the height of my heels, I’m able to lift up on my toes slightly and shift myself onto the marbled surface. Once anchored, I kick off my heels and wrap my legs around his waist.
“You have condoms right?” I breathe onto his collarbone as I explore the peaks and valleys of his muscles with my lips.

Author Interview:

Heather: Welcome Andrea to Word, I am so happy you were willing to answer a few questions for us.
You have unique titles and character names, where do you come up with them?
I actually didn't have a name for November for the first draft of the first chapter. I wrote (girls name) any time I needed to, which wasn't too often since it was first person… but I knew it had to be unique because she was the children of hippies. I wanted it to be beautiful but believable. A friend and I were talking music one day and he'd asked if I'd heard The Avett Brothers song "November Blue". I said "no, but that's now the name of my MC."
Bo's name was actually Lucas for the first chapter, but then I read 2 books back-to-back with Lucas male leads so I had to change it, stat. My husband came up with "Bo."
I have recently started listening to The Avett Bros, did you learn of them from Colleen Hoover as well?
I sure did
I love all of the names. Adrian is one of my favorites.
Names are so important
Which one of your characters do you most enjoy writing?
Hm.
So far for the November Blue series it's truly been November. I've been working on making her grow and mature. But overall, it has been Ryker Manning, who is a character in "In the Stillness"
Which of you characters resembles you the closest?
Natalie Collins from "In the Stillness"
I hear great things about Into The Stillness as well as the November duo. You are definitively a skilled woman Andie.
Well, thank you. *blushes* I'm just glad that there was at least one person who I didn't know that's read anything I've published
We know how the Reckless Abandon ends, but I'm curious, were you ever Team Adrian while writing?
100% hahah. It surprised me, too. Actually while doing the outline of Reckless Abandon I began to wonder if the story would have a *very* different ending. I never really disliked Adrian. I just felt bad for everyone involved there.
Is it difficult for you to write sex scenes about two different men in one series?
It wasn't, no. haha. Because Adrian is just so friggen sexy it was like "fantasy time"... and I really worked to show that the sex was different between Bo and Ember and Adrian and Ember. Equally hot, very different motivations. Motivations are HUGE for me. I'm constantly asking "why" to my characters. Always. I get hung up on it sometimes.
If my characters tell me they want to do something I say "prove to me that its necessary." lol
I've seen your writing in action, you question every move you make, you take feedback, and want the absolute best end product. You take your job very seriously, it's amazing to see the end product, and all of the time went behind getting it there.
I don't ask people to beta just to get my ego stroked. If there's a serious issue they find, i want to talk it out .Just because I might see exactly the way something is going, they might not...and I have to remind myself that's because the whole book is in my head...and it won’t be in the readers… it's a challenge sometimes
Tell me about your writing days. How do you get your work done? Kids being hooligans in the background, quiet coffeehouse, hiding out in the closet?
All of the above! Ha. For actual *writing* I go to the coffee house or wait till the kids are asleep. It's too hard to put together any number of constructive minutes while they're awake. So, When I'm at home and they're up I can do stuff like marketing or idea banter with my author friends, things like that. Then when I have time to just write, I have to hunker down and do it. I'm thoroughly grateful that I can type fast and ideas don't tend to get stuck in my head; I can translate them to something readable fairly easily.
You are a ninja with those typing fingers;)
lol
What are your thoughts on HEA's are they always going to be a necessity in your books?
Well Ten Days didn't have an HEA. It was a cliffhanger - one I've been crucified for in about 25% of my reviews. RA has more of an HEA but it's far from tied up in a nice bow. I don't mind happy endings, but I also don't care for total rainbows and hearts. Life is hard and we have to learn to find our happy endings in the middle of our messes.
Sometimes it's just about *knowing* people are going to be okay without having to see it all written out.
You know my thoughts on HEA's. Real life endings are my favorites. Couples can get together and be happy without having every bow tied tight.
It's reality. I have plenty of fantasy within my books without having to go overkill on the endings.
The ending is what people remember most, if it's any good.
What is something your readers don't know about you?
*long exhale* Well.... I guess it's that even though I'm extremely open with them, and very sarcastic and witty and foul-mouthed, and all of that. I'm a very passionate friend. Seriously I will cut someone who screws with my friends. Friends are very important to me. It might take a while for me to let you in, but once you're in, that's where you'll stay. I think I've only lost one friend in my entire life
Heather:
I can see that about you :)
And I do love my foul-mouthed Andie.
Well, again, it's real
Where did you get the nickname "soul"?
HAHAHA, Okay…
Michelle Kisner Pace, who was a co-author for "Fury" and "The Perpetual Quest for the Perfect Life" was a beta reader for Ten Days of Perfect, Reckless Abandon, and In the Stillness.
So, for the November Blue books, there's a lot of discussion about soul, in part of one of the books first drafts I got carried away a little with the word and there is one point where MKP wrote "I dare you not to use this word for the rest of the book"
I didn't… but I went in and cleaned up some of the other ones that weren't necessary.
I'm actually laughing out loud right now. I can see Michelle saying that.
hahah she did. And it made me cry hahahah
She definitely pushes for perfection. She's good at what she does.
Yes, and I gladly return the favor to her. It works when both people are willing to be honest.

You ready for a little sudden death?
always

Favorite book…
A Song for Julia
Author…
Charles Sheehan-Miles (he wrote A Song for Julia) I've been lucky enough to read things he's written as he was writing them and his brain is absolutely insane. It's a wonderful thing. I'll read anything he writes, ever.

Decaf. I can't handle caffeine. I'm intense enough without it. So decaf anything...like skinny cinnamon dolce latte..or Tea. I love tea.

What candy will you steal from you kids… (mine is cherry pez)
Good chocolate. They can't possibly appreciate that shit. So if they get something decent I’ll take it.

Hot sex or sweet sex…
It's best if you can accomplish both in one session

They serve a purpose sometimes

Author Bio:

Ten Days of Perfect is available for Kindle and paperback through Amazon now!

Reckless Abandon (Book 2 in the November Blue Series) will be released in March 2013!

I started writing poetry long before writing fiction. I firmly believe Poetry is a solid foundation for all other forms of writing. It taught me that a single word can make or break the world.

I write fiction because my characters have a story and they want me to tell it.

I hope you enjoy the pieces of my soul that I share with you.

Review:
**4.75 Stars**

First thought. WOW! I cannot believe this book! These type of books are the reason I wanted to begin blogging, to find the diamond in the rough. The new authors that I can push and pimp and tell others about. The reading world knows I can't stand bubblegum. This is anti-bubblegum. Haven makes you feel and think about your life. You realize what you have really isn't as bad as it could be. We can feel the strength in this young girl, we are crying for a fictional character, and are on the edge of our seats trying to read as quickly as we can to make sure she gets the HEA she deserves.

Lilly Grace is a sweet, innocent teenage girl whose life is turned upside-down when her mom and brother are killed in a tornado, and she is left with the most abusive father I have ever read. She hides out in her room until he's gone. You see her inner strength shine through. She is fighting through each and every day until she is old enough to get out of there and never look back.

Dean Haven was Lilly's first love, but he left her alone to escape his past. As we all know, you can't escape it forever. Dean comes back with a mission. To win Lilly back and show her what he is, and can be. He knows he messed up, and wants to right his wrongs. Dean is the type of hero I enjoy reading about. He was real, and never tried to act perfect. He just wanted to win the girl's heart back.

Haven From The Storm has everything I love and need while reading. This is extremely high up on my recommendation list. When an author writes a story about such trivial topics, such as physical and verbal abuse, it needs to be accurate. Sarah did her research here. She pulled it off perfectly. This novel is out on March 30th, make sure you pick it us as soon as it's available, it will not disappoint! Finding a story with strong characters, supportive friends, and a major hunk is rare. Be ready world, Dean and Lilly are about to take over the indie world!

We are doing something a bit different for this tour. I wanted an inside look at the beta process. So we asked a few questions, here were our answers. There was some humorous conversations, and 2 Aussies that just didn't want to go away;) I hope you enjoy this hilarious bunch...

1)What was your first impression of the story?

Jay:  I liked it right off it reminded me of living back in small town Iowa.

Les: My first impression of PQFTPL was one of loss. The opening chapter pulled me into the shattered world of Nicole and her boy. The rawness of her view of the world had me wanting to know more about her and what was going on in her life.

Andrea: My first impression was "these are my people. this is my town". I bonded with them all, and the setting, right away.

Charles: I was intrigued right off, wondering what happened to Ryan. But the point where the story really grabbed me was when Nic passed over the box labeled "Ryan's Locker." I wanted very badly to know what was in it.

Heather: From the first chapter, I related to Nicole and was happy with her character development and parenting from the beginning.

Vanessa: A story with meat, a plot. Something other than just sex. I was immediately imerssed and found myself constantly asking her to send me more to read!

Karen: I was immediately drawn in. Who wouldn't be? Great description AND death in the second paragraph. I had to know what was going to happen to dear Nicole and her little boy. I had a hard time putting it down. Actually, I believe I read it straight through! All the characters were so engaging. There seemed to be either a quality in each one of the ladies that I could relate to or a quality in each of the men that I wanted to get to know more about.
2) How long did it take you to get into it?

Heather: I felt it from the first chapter. The story was captivating.

Les: I was drawn in from the first paragraph.

3)What changes were you most grateful for?

Jay:  I was grateful for several things , but the one that sticks out the most was changing the order of the chapters , starting off with Nicole  worked out better flow wise .

Les: Australians. They are not there now. Thank you god. Thank you Jesus. Thank you killer of random color characters.

Andrea: The development of Avery and Shilah...Avery mostly. She originally started strong then fizzled big time..but you guys resuscitated her and gave her purpose.

Charles: Honestly it's a toss up between Nicole and Shilah. I wanted to see Nicole happy again.

Heather: The beginning of the book originally began with Avery waking up with Jason. It really changed the whole book switching it to Nicole and Ike in the first chapter.

Karen: Thankful for the Aussies being gone. Too random.  I enjoyed the way Shilah and Avery developed more. Especially the riverboat museum scene. And what John says to Nic at the wedding. UGH. So good!

Vanessa: The backstory, for sure. Without it I found myself wanting more. More of how these characters grew up, how the interaccted with each other and how their bonds were formed.

Donna:  Lauren was a favorite as well as Nic, they both faced real life problems we all could identify with.

4)Who were you favorite characters?

Jay:  in this order Aaron, Nicole ,Avery and Jules

Les: Aaron Foster. He speaks to me.

 Andrea: Aaron and Lauren

Heather: Aaron, Nicole and Lauren

Karen:  I may be a tad biased, but I love love love Lauren and Jack. Straight shooters and hella funny!

5)What caused the most fights amongst the beta readers?

Jay: I think what caused the most fights were stuff like the god damn Aussies

Les: Aaron Foster, he was kind of douchey in the beginning.

Andrea: Mostly silly stuff..things that seem silly but readers would have made fun of, im sure. Halloween costumes, secondary characters. Places where people had sex...

Heather: The out-of-date Halloween costumes we had to go for a battle royale to get them changed.  And getting the Aussies out of there! (Most of the betas were on the same wave-length over these)

Vanessa: I’d say the Aussies although it wasn't so much causing fights as we all agreed it just didn't fit the book.

6)If you could know more about any of the characters (prequels, sequels, side stories) who would you want to know more about?

Jay: I want to know more about Jules

Les: Jules

Andrea: Jules in high school, and Jules after Quest. Jules, Jules, Jules!

Charles: Jack and Lauren

Karen: How about a side story about Jules.?? I enjoyed her character and would love to know more about her. And who doesn't want to know more about how Lauren got herself a sexy Texan?

7)Have you ever beta'd before Quest?  How was this experience different?  Were there things about the process that surprised you?

Les:  I was surprised how crazy people would get. Getting emotionally invested in an unfinished character leads to all sorts of interesting psychological discussions. ;)

Andrea: I've beta'ed a LOT.... this was very different from anything I'd experienced. But, maybe that's because I also sort of "alpha read" it..so the amount of rewriting and additional scenes was more than I'd seen before..but that spoke to the level of integrity you placed upon the beta readers.

Heather: I have beta'd before, but I felt like the authors wanted me more involved this time.  The group discussions were great.  We were all able to chime in and discuss in a timely manner.

Vanessa: Ive beta read quite a few books. This was a great experience as it wasn't just for a great book, but for two friends I grew up with. I found that both Michelle and Tammy were receptive to suggestions and that made the experience all the more enjoyable. I was honored to do it and wouldn't hesitate to do it again!

8)What was your favorite line?

Jay: " Don't stand too close or you might get the syph"

Andrea: “I should have fought for you.”

Charles: "I should have fought for you."  That brought me to tears.

Heather: “You two need to get your shit straight or I’m fixin’ to move back to Texas where men can hold their liquor.” –Jack

Karen:  Favorite line......."You forgot to wash your hands, Hookerboots!" And when Shilah tells Jason to read a fucking book.  And I love the description at the diner "they drowned their sorrow in bacon and cheese. " And the entire "I Smell Bacon" chapter was killer!!!

Blurb:

Dr. Ryan Harper's brutal slaying stuns the picturesque river town. High school football star, Prom King, and on his way to finishing his residency, Ryan was their golden child.

After a two-year struggle to care for their young son alone, his widow, Nicole, reluctantly returns to Jefferson Point. Her homecoming reopens old wounds, as Ryan's family and friends struggle to adapt to life without his dynamic presence.

The last person Nicole expects to reconnect with is Aaron Foster, Ryan’s best man and reluctant keeper of his secrets.

With opinions circulating on Nicole’s post-Ryan existence, she must maneuver the rapids of past loves, new expectations, and haunting dreams of her fallen husband.

The Perpetual Quest for the Perfect Life is a frank story of questionable decisions, small town politics, and love after loss.

Review:

I was lucky enough to beta for Quest. This is a story I am so excited to share with the world. This is not simply a romance, it has every element I need. We felt the love, the pain, the heartache, the redemption. It’s not often an author hits every element. Quest does have a larger cast than the average book, which was concerning when I began, but quickly found it added to the story, there is just enough of everyone to make the novel complete.
Nicole and Aaron were the main characters, with an excellent supporting cast. Nic has lost her husband and is starting over with her son Ike, in her hometown with her friends and family near. We see her struggles with getting over her husband’s death, realizing what could have been, and getting her life back. It takes so much to move on, every single one of these characters felt so real and relatable.
Aaron and Nicole were meant to be, he was her husband’s best friend, and her closest confidant for years. You can feel it from the moment they see each other again after all these years that there is a major love there. But Aaron is in a new relationship (with a hilarious crazy, Joy), and he has a hard time admitting his feelings. There is a loyalty to Ryan, and trying to do what’s right.
Avery is Nicole’s best friend, and Ryan’s sister. She is strong-minded and not looking to settle down anytime soon. She is always freshly polished and manicured, has a great job, and just wants to have fun. Until she meets Shilah. Shilah is down-to-earth, a man’s man, kind-hearted, and ready to take on the world for the woman he wants.
Then we have Lauren and Jack, who are already married, have a family, and trying to make it work. I loved Jack, he has his flaws, but loves his wife, and is willing to do what it takes to keep her.

The Perpetual Quest for The Perfect Life is one of the best books I have EVER read. I am re-reading (for the third time) right now. I cried, I laughed, and told every single one of my book friends about this incredible story. I am so lucky Michelle asked me to help with this. It was such an honor. <3 you M.

Excerpt (kissing scene)

“If you were bold...” Macsen shifts closer and I clinch the book tightly in my hands. “What would you do?”
My heart picks up speed as I open my mouth. I hesitate for a second, afraid to say what I feel. But when will this opportunity ever come again? Probably never. But it doesn’t make it any easier.
Tell him or don’t. Tell him or don’t. I weigh the pros and cons in my head as I stare at him. After a few seconds pass between us, I let out a shaky breath.
            “I’d lean forward...” I whisper.
His face moves closer and I watch his green eyes become hooded with lust. “And what?”
I lean an inch closer. “I would kiss you.”
Macsen’s eyes slam shut and the rejection I feel stings. I start to rise and when he opens his eyes back up. His hands gently hold my own to the floor and then his mouth is on mine. I want to shiver from how lightly his lips move against mine, how smooth they feel. They move coaxingly, with soft nips. My lips stay shut. I’m enjoying every single trick of his to get me to open up my mouth to him.
My breathing is shallow as I pull away. His hands move away as he settles onto the floor, his legs wide apart. My nose brushes against his as I stare into his eyes. His pulse is pounding at the base of his throat. With my palms flat on the floor, I lean closer. My body is between his spread legs. Even though he’s silent, his chest rises and falls like he has just stopped running. I know he wants me. I shut my brain down, ignore what a mistake this is, and lean forward and kiss the side of his neck. He jumps slightly and I lick his skin.
I hear him groan and move my lips upward.
A kiss cannot replace the past. But with every kiss to his skin, my hurt becomes a distant memory. All my pain is gone and all I can feel is the blood roaring throughout my body. My lips tingle as I drag them across his jaw. When I reach his lips, I stop, and hover. I can only go so far before it’s his turn to take control.
My eyes briefly flick down to his arms. He’s resting his weight on his palms, but I watch his arms shake. He’s losing his calm demeanor. The longer our lips are apart, the more the air snaps around us. My breathing is harsh as I wait patiently. When Macsen still hasn’t moved, I start to back away.
“Don’t,” he says roughly and reaches out. Easily, his hands span my waist and he drags me onto his lap.
I grip his forearms tightly as my body sinks closer and my thighs hug his hips. Against the juncture of my thighs, I can feel how hard he is. I shift once and my thighs start to shake. He only pauses for a second, looking at me with such intensity, I’m waiting for my skin to melt. When his lips meet mine, there’s more urgency to our kiss. My nails dig into his flesh as he licks the seam of my lips and nips at my bottom lip.
I want to pretend, just for a few hours, that I’m someone filled with forgiveness. No scars on my past. No cuts on my emotions. I want to be a whole person, not someone sewn back together. And I feel put together with Macsen’s arms banded tightly around me.
I open my mouth and his tongue slips in. I gasp loudly in shock at how good this feels. Goosebumps break out across my skin, and I move my tongue against his cautiously. My revenge runs in the opposite direction the longer his mouth is on mine.
Slowly, I start to relax my body. I practically sigh when Macsen’s hands move from my hips and toward my face. He bites lightly on my bottom lip and soothes the burn with his tongue. Macsen angles my head and explores my mouth. I thrust my tongue against his and fist my hands into his hair. The grip on my face tightens before his hands drift away, traveling down my body.
His fingers drift over my breast and through my bra, my nipples tighten. I want him to keep touching me there, but his hands move across my stomach and slip underneath my shirt.
How can I be doing this? None of this is part of the plan. My mind torments me and tries to pull me back to reality, but Macsen is my weakness. I can’t stop. My fingers drag up his arm, clinching his biceps. His hands explore my stomach and I breathe heavily, pulling away from his mouth and leaning my head on his shoulder. Those large hands inch closer to the lace of my bra and the two of us are breathing hard. His fingers veer around my chest and I feel him slip a finger underneath the strap of my bra. And even with the barrier of my shirt, he drags it down my shoulder and down my arm.
There’s a torturous second where he does nothing and I think I stop breathing.
Against his neck, against my will, I murmur, “More.”
My brain has shut down and now my lust is talking. It’s a greedy feeling because all I can think about is having his hands all over me.

Review:

Let me start off by saying, I’ve been waiting on this book for
what feels like forever. When I read Calia’s 1st book, Every
Which Way, I instantly fell in love with Macsen. While
everyone else was drooling over Thayer, I was standing on
my sofa, poms poms in hand, cheering for the underdog.
Granted, Macsen made some terrible choices in book 1, he
 redeems himself in book 2.

Book 2 reintroduces us to Emilia. We met her briefly in book
1 and when she gave me the heebee jeebie’s , I knew it
was for good reason. Girl has a vindictive streak a mile long.
We are also introduced to Emilia’s family and back story,
which explain why she ended up as Severine’s roommate
and why it was so imperative to be right where she was
. Emilia is trying to right a wrong done to her family, namely,
her triplet sister, Elizabeth. Emilia creates a Burn List. She
has all the name of kids who have harmed her or her family.
Emilia sets about to destroy (not physically, cuz those
wounds heal, but emotionally) each person on that list. She
has gotten to the last name on the list…Macsen Sloan.

Macsen is still feeling the effect of his indiscretion last year.
He knew that he and Sev weren’t a good fit, but that didn’t
stop him from wanting something Thayer also wanted. In
the end, things turned out the way they were suppose to for
those 3. Now, bring in Emilia. This girl has her sights set on
Macsen, but for a whole different reason than all the other
ladies at school. She wants revenge. She’s not sure how to
go about it but one thing is for sure. She needs to befriend
Macsen and find something to use as ammunition against
him. The problem is, she’s starting to feel something for
 Macsen, something other than revenge.

Things get a bit rocky for these two, but there is something
to be said for weathering the storm, telling the truth and
 ultimately falling in love.

Piercing the Rim
By: Venessa Kimball

YouTube tour video| Website| PtF Facebook| Author Facebook

Synopsis:
Jesca Gershon-Sera has an average life on the surface. She is a sophmore in college, has a loving family, and holds a part time job at a local bookstore with her best friend. Her life is pretty normal. Except, under the surface she feels like she is losing her mind. Reoccurring nightmares have plagued Jesca for most of her childhood. She thought nothing of them, until they began intensifying and finding their way into her waking hours. Voices, vivid images and supernatural abilities in her nightmares are beginning to seep into her reality.

Ezra Kahn is one of her college professors. Lately, Ezra happens to be everywhere she is; like he is watching her. Along with the slight fear that her professor is stalking her, Jesca fears that she won't be able to handle much more of the insanity that is blurring her reality. On a chance encounter, Jesca confides in Ezra about the crazy happenings. Jesca thought that he would think her to be insane or a freak. But, to Jesca's surprise, Ezra Kahn reveals that she is not a lunatic and that all of the insanity is very real.

Instantly, Jesca's reality is set askew. Ezra reveals that he has been sent to help her. He tells her she is experiencing these events in her life because of her inherited purpose to protect humanity from inconceivable catastrophe.

Review:
Piercing The Rim was unlike any book I have read. It had a strong christian-science nature, which was confusing to me at times, but would be very cool to read if you understand the scientific elements of the world. It is YA, but bordered on the Adult line.

Jeska is a special girl, she questions the powers she is forming and has questions. Fast running, hearing thoughts, and the dreams she experiences are out of this world. She has no idea why her world is changing until her college professor tells her about Einstein and wormholes to the other worlds.
Jeska must train to be a guardian, and save Earth.
There is a good love triangle in the story between Jeska, Xander and Nate. I think I am more Team Xander. I love the dark characters.

Now the book itself. I had a hard time connecting to the POV’s. It switched from first to third about 1/2 through, and then rotated between. I can’t get lost in that.  I wish it would have been separated out  better. Could have used some professional editing as well. I do not think this will be a series I finish out.

Relentless By Cassia Leo

Description

Claire Nixon is a twenty-year-old college dropout with a secret.

To Claire, Adam Parker is just another flirty customer at the cafe, until a chance encounter and seemingly innocent comment spurs a bet between them. The bet is simple: If Adam can get Claire to reveal the secret that made her drop out of college, she has to re-enroll. If he doesn’t succeed, she gets to keep her secret and he has to stop stalking her at the cafe.

Claire thinks she has this one in the bag. She’s perfected the art of forgetting her past. But she isn’t prepared for Adam’s relentless pursuit or for him to share his own secrets. And she’s definitely not prepared for her rock star ex, and her secret, to come banging down her door one year later.

RELENTLESS
Excerpt from Chapter Twelve

At exactly six in the evening, a knock comes at the door. I’m ready with my yellow bikini underneath my faded-blue Roxy T-shirt and a pair of white board shorts that I usually only wear around the house because they barely cover my ass, but Senia insisted I wear them. I’m excited. I’ve seen guys—hot guys—surfing at the beach dozens of times since I moved to Wrightsville Beach, but something about getting to see Adam out there gives me butterflies. I’m finally going to get to share his passion for the water with him. And enough time, and meditation, has passed between Saturday and today that I’m feeling a lot less guilty about leaving him hanging.
I open the door and Adam is leaning against the doorframe with one hand in the pocket of his board shorts. He’s shirtless so even when he looks up at me with those striking green eyes, all I can look at is his perfectly muscular chest.
“Are you ready to get tossed?”
“Is that a promise?” I say as I step outside.
He laughs as he throws his arms around my waist, lifts me off the ground, and kisses me. His lips are warm and soft as I take his bottom lip between my teeth.
He moans softly and I feel him stiffening against me. “You’d better stop that or I’m going to take you upstairs right now.”
I give him a soft peck on the lips then tighten my arms around his neck as I lay my head on his shoulder. He squeezes me tightly and I sigh. This is the best hug I’ve gotten in months. He finally sets me down and cradles my face as he kisses both my eyelids.
“Thanks for coming with me.”
I grin uncontrollably because something has shifted between us. Something magical is happening. I feel deliriously happy for the first time since Chris left.

Wreck Me

By J.L. Mac

**4.5 MajorSexy Stars**

I know him but I don't. I want him but I don't. I need him but I don't.

J.L. Mac is a newer author that has some pretty major storytelling skills. Wow! I was swept so far into this story, before I knew it, three hours had passed, and my kids were begging for dinner. I had to finish it in one sitting! I felt so attached to Jo. She was me. She had something very rare to see in a book character. Realism. She had one of the sexiest book boyfriends going after her heart, Damon. He knew what he wanted and was not afraid to go get it, no matter the cost.
Jo and Damon have a past that neither one of them can remember. Readers know what it is, and the story is based around them figuring out why they seem so familiar to each other.
Jo had a great mom and dad that died in a tragic accident, and with no family to take her in, she is forced to survive the system. The street is where she learns to live. Jo does not trust, is loyal, and knows how to get the things she needs for life. She rose above it all and is working at a struggling bookstore, she has a small apartment to live and clothes on her back. She has no plans to ever fall in love. Well, until she bumps into a familiar stranger…

Damon is rich and powerful, but harboring some secrets of his own. He was raised by a POS single father, and became the man he is today by striving to be nothing like the man that his father was. He own his own business, likes the finer things in life and has no problems getting women into bed. He has no plans to ever be more than a one-night-stand type of guy. Well, until he runs into a gorgeous girl kicking a thieves ass at a bookstore…
This novella had the best scenes I have ever read, and that’s saying a lot. Some scenes border on S&M, but they never cross the line. It’s simply super-hot naughty-time. I felt for Jo the whole way through, while you watch her walls slowly fall around her. There is a scene where Damon buys her a closet full of clothes, and you want to cry for her. This is a girl that barely has money to eat, and she is given everything by a man that obviously cares deeply about her. He wants her to have everything she didn’t get growing up. He wants to replace the hurt with love, and there is no way to not fall in love with Damon while you read it. Major swoon.  This book is a major cliffhanger, but the second comes out very soon, I highly recommend this book to everyone!

BLURB-Life can be cruel. People can be ruthless and evil. The world can be cold and uninviting. No one knows these things better than Josephine Geroux. By her own definition, she is a twenty-five year old “nobody with nothing,” and she is content to stay that way. Growing up an orphan has made her tough and indifferent to the people around her until she meets a strangely familiar man with a face that haunts her for reasons she can’t understand.

Despite the pain that will inevitably ensue, she makes it her mission to discover what parts of her tragic puzzle she is missing. On her journey to discovering why the she feels an alarming connection to an absolute stranger, her greatest fear is reawakening the demons and darkness from the past that will surely overtake her if she lets her guard down. Little does Josephine know that the past should be the least of her worries. She is toying with a man who has already broken her heart once. She just doesn’t realize it.
Although she makes it a point to avoid interactions with others, Josephine’s life becomes entangled with the enigmatic stranger. Before she realizes it, she has given herself over to the one person who is close enough to wreck her.

KISS ME Excerpt #6

In History, Riley flicks the ribbons on my socks. “How are things going with you and my brother?”

“Good, I think. He got mad at me the other night, though, and was acting kinda jealous.”

“Would you rather have a guy that doesn’t care?”

“I guess not.”

“He told me you were with Aiden the other night.”

“And Annie and a bunch of people studying for our French test.”

“In a hot tub?”

“Well, that was the plan. Regardless, it was fun. And I didn’t do anything wrong.”

“So you’re not in love with the Hottie God anymore?”

“That wasn’t love. I just, I thought he was cute, and he has a certain charm about him, but he tells me he likes me one minute and then he hates me the next.”

“He told you he likes you? Was this recently?”

“Um, no. It was a while ago. What about you? You and Ariela are cute together. She seems a little too sweet for you, though.”

He flicks my hair.

“Hey!”

“What do you mean she’s too sweet for me?”

“Well, she’s not like the whoredom girls.”

“She’s not.” He grins big.

“Why are you grinning so much?”

“Cuz I like that about her. She doesn’t want to have sex with me until we’re going out and in love and stuff.”

“Do you want her to fall in love with you? Usually you’re good with just lust.”

“Yeah, well, I really like her. I’m not just a sex god, you know,” he laughs. “Hooking up is fun, but I think it’d be cool to do it with the same person. Truthfully, my brother has been so happy, I kinda want to be that way too.”

“Your brother is happy because all of a sudden he thinks he’s a sex god.”

Riley laughs out loud.

The teacher says, “Riley, do you have something you’d like to share with the class?”

Riley clears his throat, trying to stop laughing. “No, sir.”

Heather's Thoughts about Kiss me:

I ablsolutley love Kiss Me. Jillian Dodd has such a way with storytelling. I was sucked fully into Keatyn and all her hotties. Keatyn is so much fun, her fashion is stellar, I look forward to seeing what new outfits Keats will be wearing in each story, who she will kiss, and how she is coping with her crazy life.
When we last saw Keatyn, she was switching to a private boarding school, with little to no comtact with her old life. She has a stalker coming for her, and needs to be safe. She has unlimitied funds, and is afraid to trust anyone. She quickly learns there are people to turn to and has an whole new group of boys vying for heart. I ended Stalk me 100% Team Cush, and ended Kiss me 100% Team Aiden!

The Submission of Alistair Ingram
                                                   By: Kelli Maine

Heather was given an arc to this novella in exchange for an honest reveiew.
This is an erotica story.

“Two doms don’t make a right.”

Betty is a dominatrix at a club called Dolls and Doms. Alistair is a movie star and is in all the gossip mags and engaged to a Hollywood starlet. His bachelor party is at the club, where he and Betty meet. All is not as it seems that night, and we are able to watch a love story unfold. And of course, lots of naughtiness ensues.

When Alastair’s engagement falls apart, we see Betty get thrown into the spotlight, which is the worst place for her to be. She has been in hiding for quite some time, and needs help to get out of her troubles. Alastair and Betty conspire a plan, and we get to watch them get out of trouble, and hopefully find love;)

I loved this story. I was not sure what to expect when I signed up to read this story, I did not follow the blog, and have not been much into the BDSM genre, they seem to feel very 50’ish. This was so different, and special. We are given impressions of two characters that are so different from who they truly are. Black Betty is hiding behind whips and chains, and Alastair is hiding behind his bad boy persona. I highly recommend this novella. I hope to see more soon from Kelli Maine. I would love to see a full sized novel. Hint hint ;)

Emma enrolls in college and moves in with her cousin. She is warned against falling for badboy/rocker Scott, but of course, the moment she sees him onstage, is smitten. She fights her attraction to him for as long as she can, but it won't last forever. She has definite daddy issues. Emma has to fight through a lot to see what Scott has to offer, but he is extrmely pursuasive. Hot and steamy right here!
SYNOPSIS:
Picking up the pieces and starting again in the US, Emma enrols in college with her cousin, Ashley. She is finally free to do what she wants and live how she chooses, and no man will ever rule her decisions or emotions again.

That is, until Scott Mason walks on stage...

Intense bad boy Scott is the lead singer of a popular local rock band. A ladies’ man and Ashley's long-time friend, Scott holds an instant fascination for Emma — she finds herself drawn to him, even though he represents everything she hates and needs to stay away from in a guy. He treats females like he does a cigarette — light it, use it, and lose it.

For her cousin's sake, Emma makes an effort to get along with Scott, but she soon discovers that there is more to him than first appears, making him even more dangerous in her eyes. Behind the façade of friendship, jealousy, obsession, fear and insecurity fester — an internal battle rages as she fights her attraction and does everything she can to stop history from repeating itself.
EXCERPT:
I had never picked up a guitar in my life — and it showed. Scott handed me a beautiful, black acoustic guitar. I didn't even know how to hold it but I tried my best, and at least Scott was smiling again, which is what I had aimed for.
He chuckled and moved his hand down over his face to try to hide his amusement. "You don't hold it like that…Here…”
I was sitting on the edge of a big footstool and he came to sit behind me. He shifted forwards until I was sitting between his hard, warm thighs. I was so aware of him that I froze. I didn't dare move. He came closer and put his arms around me to reach the guitar. His naked chest came into contact with my back, making my core temperature rise to dangerous levels. His scent was enveloping me, taunting me, and this time there was no escape.
His head peered over my shoulder causing the hairs on the back of my neck to stand on end.
"Hold it like this," he whispered close to my ear as he moved my hand into the right position.
His breath tickled me, making a shudder run down my back.
He paused for a second and I thought he had noticed. "And if you," he slid his hot hand under my thigh gently and lifted it for me until only my toes were touching the floor, "raise your knee, you can rest it here."
"Okay,” I whispered. It was all I was capable of saying with his hands all over me. Maybe this wasn't such a good idea.
He took his hands away and rested them on my thighs. "Now try." His voice was gruff.
I started playing but my mind was focused on the parts of my body that he was touching. I was dreadful. He was just so there that I couldn't have concentrated if my life had depended on it.
He turned his face towards my neck and I heard him inhale through his nose gently. His grip on my thighs tightened as he shifted closer to my backside and his forehead hit my shoulder heavily.
Shit! I'm going to spontaneously combust any goddamn bloody minute now if he doesn't stop.

Deleted Scene from Cade and Clay

Cade

I walked into the kitchen and sat down at the bar.  This wasn’t working out like I planned.  She wouldn’t let me touch her.  She wouldn’t let me kiss her.  God, I wanted her so damn bad.  I was drowning my sorrows in a hot cup of coffee when Clay walked in.
“Are you still wallowing?” He asked as he hit me on the back of the head.
“You just don’t understand.  You ain't ever had a real woman, so you have no idea what it’s like.”
“I know that you’re bein’ a damn pansy ass.  If you want the woman, go get her.  You ain’t gonna get her sitting here crying in your damn coffee.”
The little bastard was right.  I had to remedy this situation and I had to remedy it right now.

Conspiring Blog tour:
by, JB McGee

Synopsis:

When Bradley refuses to take Veronica to his cousin's wedding, she finds herself in the company of the charming and attractive Ian. There is no denying that Veronica and Ian have an intense, mutual attraction which draws them together like magnets. But what neither of them realizes is that their attraction isn't the only thing pulling them together. It is a small world, and it’s about to get a whole lot smaller when an innocent fling turns into an intricate plan to conspire.

Excerpt:
He flips me back over and chastely kisses my lips. “Next time, don’t take so long to call me back.” His eyes never leave mine as he puts his clothes back on. I’m yearning for more when he walks out of my room. He hollers over his shoulder, “That should have helped your appetite. Eat.”
I am flabbergasted by his boldness, but I must admit I find it so incredibly sexy. If I had the energy I would run after him, but I don’t. I pull my duvet up and cover my naked, sated body as I drift off to sleep.

10 Things about Author JB McGee:
1.   I like food.  Good food.  Cinnabon.  Hot Now Krispy Kreme Doughnuts.  So maybe I should say sweets.

2.   The beach is my favorite place to relax and vacation.

3.   I hate it when people don’t put their grocery carts/buggies back in their special place in the parking lot or walk them back inside.  Leaving them in the middle of a space or pushing them into the grass makes me shake my head.  It’s a huge pet peeve.

4.   This is probably because my first job was at a grocery store.  Even though I worked in the movie department (back when Kroger had a movie rental section) – I helped my guy friends clear the lot.  It was so annoying.

5.   Like Veronica, I play with my food when I’m bored.  Half the time I don’t even realize I’m doing it.  In college, my roommates could always tell when it was time for us to put our trays away by me playing with my food.

6.   I wish I had a girl baby.  Maybe one day we can adopt one.

7.   My hero in high school was Michael Jordan.  I loved him.  I did research projects on him in high school.  I dreamed about getting to meet him.  I went to the Atlanta Olympics hoping he might just happen to be there.  Turned out he was in Augusta (30 minutes from my hometown) that day playing golf at the Augusta National.

8.   I don’t really like being outside unless it’s at the beach.  I hate bugs.  I have a lot of sensory issues and certain things make my skin crawl.  Most of which live outside.

9.   I drove my first car into one of those big blue mailboxes leaving work one night when a bee flew into my car and got stuck in my ponytail.  I had been stung the week before and had an allergic reaction and panicked.  I thought I was hitting the brakes and really hit the gas.  Oops.

     10.  I hated Biology so much that I dropped it and decided I’d take   it last in college.  Instead, I took Plant Science.  I worked my butt off and still made a B+ (although I think it was the highest in the class).  Looking back I laugh because my kids being sick has made me learn more about Biology than I ever would have learned in a college course.  I guess God meant I was going to learn Biology one way or another.

My Misery Muse by Brei Betzold

Excerpt from My Misery Muse by Brei Betzold

He just glanced up at me then went back to crashing cars. I looked around the office and it looked like a tornado had passed through, toys everywhere, spaghetti on the desk and the floor under it from his dinner. It gave me a new respect of what Devi had been through the last few years.
I was under the desk cleaning up spaghetti when Drake walked in; he took one look around and started laughing.
“Not so easy, huh man?” he said.
“Unca Ake,” Jaks squealed then took off hugging Drake around the legs.
“Hey kid, looks like you’ve been giving your dad a hard time tonight,” Drake said as lifting Jaks up. “You want to come home with me tonight and give Mommy a night off?”
Jaks smiled at that idea and nodded. Drake put him down, and started helping put toys away, while Jaks went back to crashing cars.
“Thanks for watching him tonight,” I said.
Drake looked over at me, “You two need to talk, figuring things out would be easier without taz here running around,” he said.
“Taz, huh,” I chuckled, “pretty apt description of him.”
“I meant what I said last night Seth, if you hurt them, I won’t hold back this time,” Drake said.
“I know, and I have no intentions on hurting them. I didn’t mean to hurt her last time either.”
“You may not have meant to, but you did hell, you still do. She changed when you left man; she’s not the same girl. She won’t date, all she does is work and hang out with Jaks. Every now and then with a lot of arm twisting, I can get her to go out with friends, but I don’t think she actually enjoys it, she only does it so she doesn’t have to listen to us bitch about her lack of life,” he said looking at me meaningfully. “I don’t think she ever got over you, and yea I know she’s the one who pushed you into going. She’s the one, who ended it between you. She tried to hide how much it hurt her from me, but I saw and I knew and there wasn’t a fucking thing I could do about it and that just pissed me off more.”
“I wanted to make things work, she said she needed a clean break. And yea, I knew it hurt her to say it, but it hurt me too and it pissed me off that she didn’t even want to try. So I went out to LA tried to forget her, but I couldn’t, haven’t and I’m not walking away this time, Drake.”
“Good luck with that, you’re going to need it,” he said. “Ok Jaks, you ready to go hang out with your Uncle Drake?”
He grabbed Jaks’ stuff and led him out of the room. I finished picking up the office and was heading back to the shop when Cris stopped me.
“Hey Seth, can we talk a minute?” Cris asked.
