Truth by Aleatha Romig

**5 MindFucking Stars... again**

What happened in the past that was painful has a great deal to do with what we are today.
-William Glasser

The moment I think there's no possible way Aleatha can do it again, she shocks me and surprises me with more twists that not even the most wicked could predict. Holy shit, she's good. How does an author come out of absolute nowhere and deliver not just one, but two insanely amazing psychological thrillers, with a third coming?!

This time around, we see a new side of Claire. She is no longer a Rawlings, she has much more will to survive. She is making a new life for herself that does not include Anthony Rawlings. Too bad Tony has other plans for them.

Claire has made new friends, has a place to live and is ready to move on. We see Claire struggle to find her own identity which is somewhere in between Claire Nichols and Claire Rawlings. Making day to day decisions is a struggle, and she must figure out who she can trust, and how far she is willing to go to prove the truth.

I am still reeling from the ending. There are certain elements I was able to figure out earlier in the story, but the big picture was a huge shock. It is a cliffhanger for sure, but my overall dying to know what happens has mellowed out a bit. We get to see a bit of what we want (or at least I hope so, you never can tell what's going on, with Aleatha, looks are deceiving.) But this is another great read! Cannot wait for Convicted!

You cannot make the same mistake twice. Because the second time you make it, it is not a mistake, it is a choice.
